Data access

The exploitation and transfer to downstream users will be achieved with the support of a recently developed portal and database structure Water Data Portal with an easy-to-use interface for performing R-D, that will allow an efficient handling of the large information volumes generated (expected to amount to several terabytes per satellite orbit), based on the concept of dynamic data repositories.

The modular WDP structure is well suited to accommodate the expected evolution in Copernicus and CEASELESS developments in the coming years. The combination of expertise in the partnership, covering satellite measurements, physically and statistically based models, in situ data, coastal processes and multi-disciplinary applications makes such a challenge feasible in a three-year project.

The acces to data from sentinel satellites is trought the Copernicus Open Access Hub. Information about data products can be found at Sentinel Online with comprehensive information about mission objectives, spacecraft design, instrument payloads and data products, as well as the latest mission news.

Wind files are retrieved by DTU Wind Energy from satellite Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) observations over the ocean. Data can be found at DTU wind energy
